Optional BWI Visitor Insights
BWI Visitor Insights records activity on selected BWI coverage and quote pages only after you choose Allow visit history. You may decline and continue using the website or requesting insurance quotes.
What this feature records
We save approved page paths, a general traffic-source category, timestamps and a random visitor ID in BWI-controlled storage. This feature does not save form contents, full URLs, search terms or IP addresses, and it does not identify your email address or phone number. No external identity-matching provider is connected.
The initial release covers the homepage, aircraft, Cessna and hangar coverage pages, the quote chooser and the aircraft quote-request page. It does not record every page on the website.
Choices and cookies
The Visit privacy options control lets you allow, decline or stop and remove visit history. Recording permission lasts 15 minutes and requires another opt-in after it expires. A secure cookie can remain for up to 30 days to associate your random ID with your choice and removal requests. A short-lived security cookie, lasting up to 10 minutes, protects changes to your choice. Your browser may also remember your allow, decline or withdrawal preference until you change it or clear browser storage.
Browser Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals prevent this feature from granting recording permission. These controls apply to BWI Visitor Insights; they do not change other website tags or the information you submit through insurance forms.
Storage, access and removal
Active visit records are kept for up to 30 days. Private backup snapshots can retain older records for up to 7 additional days. Access to the activity dashboard is restricted to BWI website administrators.
Choosing Stop and remove history stops new recording in your browser and requests removal of the activity associated with its signed visitor cookie from the active store. The control reports whether removal was confirmed. Backups expire within 7 days. A random opt-out marker is retained to prevent further recording for that ID. If you clear the cookie or change browsers, BWI may be unable to associate a removal request with earlier anonymous activity.
