Learjet insurance guide
Use the actual proposal and policy documents when deciding. Insurance terms, availability and premiums depend on the submission; coverage is not effective until binding is confirmed. Request a quote for your aircraft; terms, availability and premiums depend on the insurer and your details.
Your Learjet insurance should reflect the aircraft, crew and operation. Tell BWI whether you fly privately, for business, for charter or as part of a fleet so the proposed use can be reviewed.
BWI is a family-owned aviation insurance brokerage serving customers since 1977. Our team can help you compare proposed terms, requested limits and the information an insurer needs. No policy or price is guaranteed before your submission is reviewed.

What is Learjet Insurance?
Learjet insurance can address liability and physical damage to the aircraft, subject to the policy offered. Review the named insured, permitted use, approved pilots, territory, limits, deductibles and exclusions together.
Ask how defense costs, passenger medical expenses, retrieval expenses and interruption costs are treated. A coverage name does not establish that a particular expense is included.
Provide the exact model, year, registration, equipment and requested value. Confirm availability for your aircraft and operation with BWI rather than relying on a model list as an underwriting promise.
Learjet model details for your insurance request
Tell BWI which aircraft you operate, including the exact variant, year, serial number and equipment. Examples include:
- Learjet 23, 24 and 25.
- Learjet 28 and 29.
- Learjet 31, 35 and 36.
- Learjet 40, 45 and 55.
- Learjet 60, 70 and 75.
The historical FAA identity table identifies the earlier families, and Bombardier’s model table includes later Learjet names. Provide the exact designation from your records rather than treating every aircraft in a family as identical.
A model appearing here is an identification aid, not a promise that an insurer will accept the aircraft or operation. Ask BWI to confirm available terms for your submission.
Typical Learjet Insurance Coverages
- Liability: Compare the overall limit with passenger or other sublimits and the treatment of defense costs.
- Physical damage: Review the insured value, loss-settlement wording, covered risks and deductibles.
- Medical payments: Ask whether this coverage is included and which expenses, people and limits it addresses.
- Additional Learjet coverage questions: Discuss baggage, cargo, non-owned aircraft, hangarkeepers liability, premises exposures and temporary replacement aircraft or parts if relevant.
- Operations and contracts: Provide charter, management, lease, hangar and lender requirements before relying on a policy.
These are topics for a quote review, not a list of automatically included benefits. Read the actual proposal and endorsements before deciding.
