Bill White

With a pilot's license, a college degree, and owning a Cessna 140, Bill White founded Bill White Insurance Agency in 1977. In order to better understand the pilot population, he completed his training for MEL, Commercial, IFR, SES, and CFII ratings. The agency eventually grew to five employees. During this time, Bill created the National Cessna180/185 Insurance program, which had become one of the two longest running aviation insurance programs ever in the industry, operating for over 20+ years.

Bill is an aviation enthusiast and has had countless flying trips where he has camped in the remote Idaho backcountry, and visited airports in all the Western states to build business while flying in three different Cessna 185's.

Bill's hobbies include most outdoor activities, camping, running, including running with the Bulls in Pamplona Spain, 1/2 Marathons, 10k's, participating in Olympic distance triathlons, and of course flying. His motto is “Keep Moving.” Bill is also a Vietnam Vet.

Bill White Insurance is now operating as BWI Aviation Insurance. Over the last 47 years, Bill has been an integral and foundational part of what BWI has grown into today.
