Bill White founded Bill White Insurance Agency in 1977 with a college degree, a pilot’s license and a Cessna 140. To better understand the pilots he served, he completed MEL, Commercial, IFR, SES and CFII training. As the agency grew to five employees, he created the National Cessna 180/185 Insurance Program, which went on to operate for more than 20 years.
An aviation enthusiast and Vietnam veteran, Bill has flown three different Cessna 185s on trips throughout the Western states, visiting airports and camping in Idaho’s remote backcountry. His love of adventure also includes running with the bulls in Pamplona, half marathons, 10Ks and Olympic-distance triathlons.
Today, the agency operates as BWI Aviation Insurance, with Bill’s work at the foundation of the company. He still enjoys flying, camping, running and other outdoor activities. His motto says it best: “Keep Moving.”
