American Champion Insurance Cost guide
The guide below explains what to review when requesting and comparing a quote. No unverified current premium range is published here. Request a quote for your aircraft; terms, availability and premiums depend on the insurer and your details.
Reviewed October 28, 2026.
American Champion insurance cost depends on the exact aircraft, pilots and planned flying. A family-wide price or an old low-time pilot example does not establish the terms of a current quote. This page no longer publishes those historical premium ranges.
Is there a current premium range?
This page does not publish a verified current premium range. Request a written proposal for your aircraft, pilots, use and requested coverage. An older price, an offer for another owner or a different aircraft, and a percentage of aircraft value are not substitutes for your own quote.
Separate the model from the activity you want covered
Give BWI the exact model, registration, year, equipment and proposed insured value. Do not assume that different American Champion models, equipment packages or insured values will receive the same proposal.
Explain whether the airplane will be used only for personal flying or also for instruction, rental, aerobatic flying, demonstrations or other activities. Ask BWI to review the intended use explicitly; an aircraft’s capability does not by itself establish insurance coverage.
Provide each proposed pilot’s relevant experience, recent flying, training and loss history. Ask about instructor approval and any transition or recurrent training requirements. A certificate, endorsement or old flight-hour threshold is not confirmation that an insurer has approved the pilot.
Compare the proposed coverage and annual cost
Compare the same model, approved pilots and uses. Review any distinctions between owner flying, instruction and other operations before treating two quoted premiums as equivalent.
Read the total liability limit and any passenger sublimit together. Check the physical-damage coverage basis, insured value and deductibles. Ask BWI to explain defense provisions, exclusions, endorsements and any separate exposures that the aircraft policy does not address. A short coverage example cannot determine payment for a particular loss.
Compare full annual premiums for equivalent policy periods. Identify fees, installment payments and financing charges separately. A lower payment amount does not necessarily mean a lower annual cost or equivalent coverage.
Request your own American Champion aircraft quote
Have your aircraft details, proposed value, pilot experience, current coverage and intended use ready. Confirm the proposed start date and any outstanding requirements before relying on the coverage.
Request an insurance quote, call 800-666-4359 or email [email protected]. Requesting a quote does not bind coverage. Coverage is not effective until confirmed in writing.
