BWI, based in sunny Southern California, opened its doors to insurance in Alaska in 2012 with only 2 Insurance Companies backing us. In a short amount of time we have doubled to 4 insurance companies, all writing business in Alaska and competing for your business. We now support and insure several thousand customers in Alaska and it is our mission to bring you excellent customer service, lower insurance rates and ensure you and your loved ones are protected when you take to the skies.
We are working on your behalf and fighting with you to get more insurance companies in the lower 48 to open up writing business in Alaska. We are also invested in ensuring that our policies are backed by 5 Star / A+ rated insurance companies and that we deliver quality insurance policies that you can count on in the event that something goes wrong.
We can place insurance on the following aircraft makes and models: Beechcraft, Bellanca, Cessna, Cirrus, Grumman, Aeronca, Champion, Piper, Aviat Husky’s, Stearmans, Beavers, Robinsons, Cub Crafters, Beavers, Lancairs, Taylorcrafts, Maules and many more.
BWI is also huge supporter of Alaska’s pilot community and has recently partnered with the Alaska Airmen Association.

On May6th, 2019 our new branch office will open on Lake Hood!
