BWI has promoted Kristen Suarez to Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Ryan Ammerman to Sales Manager, marking a significant strengthening of the agency’s leadership infrastructure during one of the most transformative periods in its 49-year history.
Kristen Suarez Named Chief Operating Officer
Suarez, based in Warrenton, North Carolina, has been a key contributor to BWI’s growth for the past nine years. She has held roles across producer support, account management, operations, process development, team training, and strategic planning, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the agency’s internal systems and customer experience.
As COO, Suarez will oversee organization-wide operations, leadership development, strategic planning, workflow efficiency, department alignment, and support for major initiatives across the company.
Suarez also serves on the Aviation Insurance Association (AIA) Education Committee and was elected in 2024 as the Director of the Agent/Broker Division, recognizing her leadership within the national aviation insurance community.

Known for his technical accuracy, responsiveness, and relationship-driven service, Ammerman has established himself as a trusted advisor within the aviation insurance sector.
As Sales Manager, Ammerman will oversee BWI’s producer team, revenue strategy, customer acquisition, client service leadership, and national sales performance.
