Cessna 175 Insurance Cost guide
The guide below explains what to review when requesting and comparing a quote. No unverified current premium range is published here. Request a quote for your aircraft; terms, availability and premiums depend on the insurer and your details.
Reviewed October 28, 2026.
Cessna 175 insurance cost should come from a proposal for your aircraft, pilots and use. The older premiums on this page have been retired. The relationship between Cessna models does not establish that their insurance prices or terms are identical.
Is there a current premium range?
This page does not publish a verified current premium range. Request a written proposal for your aircraft, pilots, use and requested coverage. An older price, an offer for another owner or a different aircraft, and a percentage of aircraft value are not substitutes for your own quote.
Document the actual Cessna 175 configuration
Provide the registration, exact model, year, engine, equipment and proposed insured value. Describe engine changes and other modifications using the aircraft’s records. Ask what supporting information is needed rather than relying on a generic model description.
Explain the proposed personal, instructional, rental or business use and the pilots who will participate. Include storage and operating areas, and ask BWI to identify applicable use restrictions and approval conditions.
Supply ratings, total and relevant aircraft time, recent flying, training and loss information for each proposed pilot. Ask about any checkout or training requirements. An old definition of a qualified pilot does not determine the terms of a new quote.
Compare the proposed coverage and annual cost
Use the same aircraft identity, configuration, value and pilots when comparing proposals. Do not transfer a checked range for a 172, 182 or another model into a Cessna 175 budget as though it were the same risk.
Read the total liability limit and any passenger sublimit together. Check the physical-damage coverage basis, insured value and deductibles. Ask BWI to explain defense provisions, exclusions, endorsements and any separate exposures that the aircraft policy does not address. A short coverage example cannot determine payment for a particular loss.
Compare full annual premiums for equivalent policy periods. Identify fees, installment payments and financing charges separately. A lower payment amount does not necessarily mean a lower annual cost or equivalent coverage.
Request your own Cessna 175 quote
Have your aircraft details, proposed value, pilot experience, current coverage and intended use ready. Confirm the proposed start date and any outstanding requirements before relying on the coverage.
Request an insurance quote, call 800-666-4359 or email [email protected]. Requesting a quote does not bind coverage. Coverage is not effective until confirmed in writing.
