Piper Comanche Insurance Cost guide
The guide below explains what to review when requesting and comparing a quote. No unverified current premium range is published here. Request a quote for your aircraft; terms, availability and premiums depend on the insurer and your details.
Reviewed October 28, 2026.
Piper Comanche insurance cost should reflect the particular aircraft, pilots and operation. The historical rate table has been retired, and this guide does not replace it with an assumed current average.
Is there a current premium range?
This page does not publish a verified current premium range. Request a written proposal for your aircraft, pilots, use and requested coverage. An older price, an offer for another owner or a different aircraft, and a percentage of aircraft value are not substitutes for your own quote.
Identify the Comanche precisely
Give BWI the exact model, registration, year, engine, equipment and proposed insured value. Confirm the identity used in the quote rather than relying on the Comanche family name alone.
Describe planned personal or business flying, operating areas and any instruction or other use. Explain ownership and who will fly the airplane so the proposal can address the intended arrangements.
Supply relevant aircraft experience, recent flying, ratings, training and loss history. Ask about pilot approval and any checkout or recurrent training requirements; the old hour-based examples were not universal standards.
Compare the proposed coverage and annual cost
Compare the same model, value, equipment, pilots and use. Review physical-damage terms, deductibles, passenger sublimits and training conditions together with the annual premium.
Read the total liability limit and any passenger sublimit together. Check the physical-damage coverage basis, insured value and deductibles. Ask BWI to explain defense provisions, exclusions, endorsements and any separate exposures that the aircraft policy does not address. A short coverage example cannot determine payment for a particular loss.
Compare full annual premiums for equivalent policy periods. Identify fees, installment payments and financing charges separately. A lower payment amount does not necessarily mean a lower annual cost or equivalent coverage.
Request your own Piper Comanche quote
Have your aircraft details, proposed value, pilot experience, current coverage and intended use ready. Confirm the proposed start date and any outstanding requirements before relying on the coverage.
Request an insurance quote, call 800-666-4359 or email [email protected]. Requesting a quote does not bind coverage. Coverage is not effective until confirmed in writing.
