Piper Aztec insurance guide
Use the actual aircraft records and proposed policy documents when making decisions. Insurance terms, availability and premiums require a quote for your aircraft, pilots and operation. Request a quote for your aircraft; terms, availability and premiums depend on the insurer and your details.

Overview:
The Piper Aztec is part of the PA-23 family of twin-engine aircraft. Piper’s publication index distinguishes the earlier PA-23 manuals from the PA-23-250 manuals for 1960–1961 and later Aztec variants, including six-place and turbo versions.
Use the exact model, serial number, seating configuration, engines and equipment when comparing aircraft or requesting insurance. Loading, range and performance must come from the applicable aircraft documents rather than one figure for every Aztec.
Aviation insurance in general, is a very specialized industry and premiums vary depending on make and model of the aircraft, hull value, use of the aircraft, pilot history and qualifications and aircraft insurance rates even take into account the loss history of each specific make and model and the loss history of the industry as a whole.
For your Piper Aztec, discuss liability and physical-damage coverage separately. Ask BWI to explain the offered limits, any passenger sublimits, defense provisions, insured value and deductible.
Review the proposed pilots and aircraft uses along with exclusions and other conditions. Coverage for a hangar-related loss, injury or total loss is determined by the actual policy and circumstances; it is not a guaranteed payment or a blanket extension throughout a hangar.
If you request hull coverage, supply the aircraft value and equipment details. Confirm the quote’s requirements and loss-settlement terms before binding. The requested value alone does not establish what will be paid for every loss.
Piper Aztec Insurance Cost Breakdown:
