Commercial Drone Insurance from BWI
Commercial drone insurance can address liability arising from your operation. Physical damage for the drone and selected equipment may also be available. Tell BWI what you fly, the work you do and the protection you want to discuss.
Our team helps businesses explore drone insurance options and understand the proposed coverage.
Liability coverage for the work you do
- Share the liability limits required by your clients or contracts. BWI can discuss available options for your operation; limits and premiums depend on underwriting.
- If a project requires a different limit or an additional insured, ask BWI before accepting the job. Changes are subject to the insurer’s agreement and may affect the premium.
- Review the proposed policy for covered activities, territory, conditions and exclusions. A quote should reflect the work your business actually performs.
Physical damage and equipment options
- Ask about physical damage for your drone, cameras, attached equipment and any other equipment you need to insure. Be specific about payloads and any dispensing or delivery operations.
- Theft, accidental damage and overseas operations require a review of the actual policy. Confirm insured values, deductibles, covered causes of loss and territory before traveling or starting a job.
Ask about privacy and advertising liability
- Drone photography and media work can raise privacy or advertising-related questions. Describe how you capture, use and publish images when discussing coverage.
- Ask whether the proposed policy includes relevant protection, whether an endorsement is needed, and which limits and exclusions apply. Do not assume these coverages are included without reviewing the terms.
