Aircraft Renters Insurance is an insurance policy that covers you while flying aircraft that you do not own.
Flight schools, aircraft rental facilities and even your friends, might not always carry sufficient aircraft insurance coverage.
If you rent or borrow an aircraft that you don’t own, you might be personally liable in the event that a loss or damage occurs and insurance coverage is insufficient.
An aircraft renters insurance policy or also called a non-owned insurance policy is designed to step in as a secondary coverage.
So, do you need an aircraft renters insurance policy? If you fly aircraft that you do not own, yes, we recommend that you do purchase a renters insurance policy.
